popping up here & there on German radio playlists - still, 4 months after the album
release. And tv channel VIVA (Fast Forward) has Imbecile the video on the

Still happy happenings in Germany.
Pekka was spokesman for Penniless in a Rolling Stone feature in September. Black
Crows has been flying high on a playlist at MDR Sputnik for 8 weeks now. And US magazine Popmatters has pointed out that Penniless really matters
over there too.

Lately Penniless have been
giving interviews to German music mags and to bigger and smaller daily papers. Rolling Stone did
put Imbecile on the July sampler, and another German magazine, Visions, followed up by
choosing Black Crows for it's sampler. This first Anola track
has also attracted some Swiss radio stations. On Saturday Penniless
appeared on the Swedish festival Trästock, smashing well, and a small note in
the band's guest book doesn't contradict this official statement.

Anola is out in
Germany and neighbouring countries and kicking well. The German Rolling Stone magazine has featured "London
hit" Imbecile on a sampler together with songs performed by names
like The Flaming Lips, Doves, Joseph Arthur, Wilt, Ikara Colt, Guided By
Voices etc. Rolling Stone and Bravo are some of the bigger reviewers, and
Rolling Stone will also speak with Pekka Penniless in its August number.
TV channel Onyx has decided to show Imbecile the video.

Now it seems that we finally have a release date
for Anola in Germany and neighbouring countries: it's Monday the 3rd of June. "Was für
eine wahnsinns Sommer-Platte!"

Penniless is contributing to a British promo
compilation cd with Imbecile. Anola is to be released by a new Berlin label in
Austria, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Switzerland within a month or so.
A few gigs in Finland and Sweden are scheduled. More about these things later on. Have fun!

last year, and now when Kerrang! is reported to be the biggest weekly music magazine on this planet, that review glows if
